Connecting your day job to what you care most about is the message driven home to young professionals or anyone looking for greater meaning in their work. For those who are committed to fostering a greener future and passionate about green building, there is no better way to connect with other like-minded green building industry professionals. The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) is the nation's only member-based organization that exists purely to advance green building in Canada. Established in 2002 with a mission to lead and accelerate the adoption of green buildings, homes and communities throughout Canada, the CaGBC offers many benefits to both organizations and individuals.

CaGBC plays an influential and important role for the industry as it works to support Canada's national climate change targets of a 30 per cent reduction over 2005 levels by 2030. To support thousands of members across the country, CaGBC delivers Canadian-specific green building education, offers events at the regional and national level; supports LEED certification; and invests in market research advocacy to lift the entire green building industry.

There are three ways to get involved in the CaGBC.
1) Corporate memberships are available for companies and organizations
2) Individual memberships are perfect for people who want to get involved at the grass roots level. Employees of Corporate member companies are entitled to free individual memberships
